Here is a Great New Years Resolution. Why not go ahead and quit smoking cigarettes? Most smokers want to quit smoking anyway, so why not? No one wants a premature death, but unless a smoker dies of an accident, chances are that he will develop illness because of smoking. In fact, smoking kills about half of its users. Lots of people think they can outwit cancer. All they think they need to do is quit smoking before they get it. Wrong! Fact is, people get cancer many years after smoking, even 20 years after, this is a lose/ lose proposition. there are of course other diseases as well that come into play. Read on to see why.
But, what could have caused a fallacy that leads people to believe they will not get cancer if they quit smoking? I think that one way this idea got started is with other illnesses. Like heart disease and artery disease. The death rate for these appear to go down when people quit smoking. That is probably because there is no more constant irritant, and chemicals coming in to block arteries and raise blood pressure. I am sure you will hear quitting smoking is immediately beneficial to the heart. But don’t also conclude that it means you won’t get cancer.
You might ask, why do people still get cancer many years after they have quit smoking? I spoke with an oncologist recently on this topic, and he said that is it unknown. But, in speaking with him more about “possible” reasons he agreed that the lungs get a cumulative effect. Most of what goes in does not come back out. So all the tar that was ever smoked in, is still there. All the carcinogens that stuck to the tar could well still be there. When a smoker quits, those chemicals are still there, and nothing will get them out. So, over time they are still acting like carcinogens.
That is a lot of tar, even if you only smoke for one year. One cup of tar in your lungs, does lots of damage, and it doesn’t really come out. So, all you can do is live with the tar, and the amount of lung damage you already have. There is no doubt that such COPD illnesses like bronchitis, pneumonia, emphysema, and even lung cancer has been invited. So quitting smoking is your best option if you are a smoker. More than 90% of people who get small cell lung cancer will not live 2 years even with the most aggressive cancer therapy.
Why smokers should

Recently, I had the opportunity to see the “Bodies” Museum exhibit in Las Vegas NV at the Luxor. There they showed dead bodies, and the organs within. I saw several examples of lungs that were used to smoke cigarettes during a persons life. When you view these lungs and their tissue, it is amazing to learn that the lungs are more like sponges. If tar for instance touches the inside, it is quite likely to ooze its way to the outside of the lung. So, not only does the inside of the lung turn black with tar, and the smoke particles that it traps. The outside does too.
One very interesting aspect of the Bodies Exhibit, was the fact that they had a huge barrel filled with cigarette packages. Apparently, after smokers see the incredible destruction of the lungs due to smoking they decide to quit smoking cigarettes on the spot, and throw them into this huge container. Honestly, I have never seen such an en masse quitting of smoking like this ever. It was very impressive. If you get the chance, check out the “Bodies Exhibition”. they have one that goes all around the country.

Self hypnosis programs are effectively being used to help people lose weight, to help people stop smoking, to increase their confidence and motivation, and even to help them make more sales. Self hypnosis is without limits because self hypnosis changes your thoughts in a natural way that efficiently changes your behavior. This means that self hypnosis will improve the quality of your life for what reasons you are using it. You will also become more successful, and you will continue to become more disciplined to the point where you will be able to accomplish anything that you put your mind too.
This is a key principle involved with setting and achieving goals. One of the major things that makes self hypnosis so vital is that you can erase bad habits and negative behavior patterns that are hard to get rid of. Professionals teach that you should at least do self hypnosis for thirty days to transform your behavior in one specific area. This means you should complete one self hypnosis program before you begin to use another self hypnosis course to help you with a different issue.
There are many ways you can use self hypnosis, but there need to be a few fundamentals to any effective self hypnosis routine. Repetition, for one, is extremely imperative, because by repeating or hearing the same positive suggestion over and over, repetition will cause this suggestion to become a reality in your life. Relaxation is also important, as the more relaxed you are, the faster the suggestions will take root in both your conscious and unconscious mind.
The most practical and effective style of self hypnosis that exists today is referred to as behavior modification. The ideology behind behavior modification is that you are a product of your thoughts. You transform yourself by taking some time each and every day to listen to a behavior modification program, and by continually listening to the same thing over and over, your behavior will gradually begin to naturally change. Once you have successfully used self hypnosis to positively change your behavior, you may find it beneficial to listen to the programs every once in awhile as a refresher.
The core difference between a person who is unsuccessful from a person who is not successful is that the successful person thinks differently. Transform your thoughts and you will also transform your life.
Uncover the power of think right now programs! These self hypnosisprograms are the most respected courses in the industry and as these CD’s have helped thousands of people. Go to think right now!

Giving up nicotine addiction can lead to the bodily functions running out of control! Associated health risks of quitting smoking include an increase in weight, bad temper, misery and sadness. The medical fraternity prefer to ignore these additional health risks as they are not considered as life threatening as smoking is.
When you examine how some Third World countries with the lowest incidence of smoking addiction have some of the highest adult mortality rates it makes you wonder if the experts have it right! Examining the rise in smoking in the Western World during the 20th century and the correlation to increased life expectancy, nation by nation, also goes against the grain of what health professionals say about smoking being bad for you.
Doctors at the K.S. Hegde Medical Academy in Mangalore, India tested former smokers and discovered that the incidence of cancer in this group had increased! In that basis it would seem that this lends some credibility to how some sort of immunity to the ravages of long-term smoking is working to protect smokers. Perhaps further evidence to support what the doctors in India discovered is supported by the fact that leading anti-smoking innovator Allen Carr died from cancer of the lungs. Carr himself was an ex-smoker, and years later fell to the very illness that he thought he had avoided by virtue of giving up smoking. By stopping smoking immediately without supporting the immune system with embedded commands that allow a controlled activation of the healing system could be opening up the very thing you wished to avoid. So do be warned.
Self-help practitioner Stephen Richards explains why ceasing to smoke can be hazardous unless you have put safeguards into your body’s healing system first. He says, “Tobacco smoke is the source of dozens of cancer causing carcinogens, yet immunity within a smoker can deflect these agents that increases its propagation. Suddenly giving up tobacco use after years of the body defending itself from cigarette poisons is not conducive to preventing the activation of an unrestrained cell division and tumour genesis. Without tackling this potential health risk the ex-smoker could leave themselves open to hidden, long-term health issues.”
Some smokers fail to take into account a protected and natural way to give up smoking, as this can have a bearing on health issues later on in life. There are numerous time saving routes when it comes to giving up smoking, but do be aware that not all are beneficial in the long-term.
The traditional route of hypnosis for smoking cessation can be costly in terms of time and money. By all means, do seek out a registered hypnotherapist if you propose to take this line of attack against tobacco addiction. But ensure that you are prepared to go through quite a few sessions, as one or two sessions only hit the surface of what needs to be tackled in an in-depth way. This is why so many ex-smokers who have undergone only a few sessions of hypnotherapy start smoking again.
Ninety per cent of the smoking addiction is mental, and only 10 per cent is physical! This is why a published study found that smokers who traded in their so-called full strength cigarettes for low tar cigarettes failed to kick the habit, and they had more attempts to kick the habit than other smokers. It was also found that they were only half as likely to actually stub out their final cigarette. Switching to a low tar alternative actually gives a false sense of security that smoking is safe and undermines the resolve to actually quit.
Even those products that target the unconscious mind with subliminal messaging have a downside. The potency of the subliminal audio is lost if the listener is not able to fully comprehend what is being said. Audio messages buried in music can be difficult to pick up; although the healthy human ear registers everything it picks up this is not so if the subliminal is buried too deep within the audio. Therefore if the subliminal message is too well hidden then it is no use for giving up smoking or anything else.
There is a substitute for cigarettes … the imitation cigarette! Why when you want to give up smoking do you want to replace it with something that looks exactly like a cigarette, bellows smoke like a real cigarette, has an ember that lights up at the end and actually feeds you the very nicotine you want to break free from? The subconscious mind does not stand a chance of vanquishing your addiction to nicotine.
When you want to break the vice-like grip nicotine has over you then the very last thing you need to be doing is keeping the hand to mouth action going, as that is part of the addiction. These electronic cigarettes do not help you break the cycle of smoking; in fact they could reinforce it!
Nicotine gum, patches and other nicotine replacement products designed to wean smokers off cigarettes can be costly. You also have to remember to stick the patch on, or what if you run out of gum at an inopportune moment? What if there was an alternative product that only took up 30 minutes of your time and only had to be used from time to time? Former clinical hypnotherapist Stephen Richards has turned his back on the use of hypnosis for smoking cessation in favour of this up to date method, which does away with any sort of hypnosis.
This new groundbreaking brainwave technology has been designed so that it does not use self-hypnosis or subliminal messaging. In less than 30 minutes the main track targets the core of the problem where you can picture and experience a life where your feelings and actions are not controlled by tobacco and the addiction to cigarettes.
Smoking cessation expert Stephen Richards says, “My aim was to make this as inexpensive a product as could be, and painless too. The symptoms of tobacco withdrawal had to be smoothed out, and I have succeeded in doing so. This system is loaded to the hilt with up to date methods so that you can gain control of your life again. Smoking cessation fixes have become stale and prolonged, whereas this method is swift, flexible and excitingly new.”
Unlocking the supremacy of the unconscious mind is something Stephen Richards is an expert in, and it is exactly the harnessing of that power that removes the appetite for tobacco. It is just a case of releasing the power that is already within and using it to work for you. Using up to date technology this has everything needed to help you quit smoking.
The real breakthrough to help you quit smoking has moved one step closer to becoming a reality; the final step is in securing the very item that will change your life over and above anything available today. The design of the “The Ultimate Stop Smoking CD” by Stephen Richards has been structured in such a way that it is a joy to use. It also safeguards your future heath by allowing your healing process to kick in naturally and safely, thus avoiding the potential of uncontrolled cell division and tumour genesis.
In this “The Ultimate Stop Smoking CD”, globally recognised writerand stop smoking therapist Stephen Richards has designed a very potent method to help you quit smoking. This article, “Why Changing To Low Tar Cigarette Reduces Your Chances Of Quitting Smoking” is available for free reprint.

Many smokers would like to be freed from their addiction to tobacco. They have come to realize that smoking is an expensive habit that is annoying to other people and damaging to their own health, possibly leading to serious health problems such as emphysema, cancer, and heart disease.
There are a variety of products designed to provide a substitute for nicotine, but you should also consider the many natural solutions that are available, to assist you in giving up tobacco.
Acupuncture has been a successful treatment for cessation for many individuals. Tiny needles are inserted in areas of the body determined by practitioners to be responsible for the nicotine desire.
The fact that people undergoing acupuncture experience diminished symptoms of withdrawal, is what has prompted advocacy of this natural treatment. When utilizing acupuncture as an aid in giving up tobacco, the individual must have at least two 30 minute acupuncture sessions per week.
Another very effective and popular natural method is to use hypnosis to deal directly with the addiction at the source, the brain. During hypnosis, the therapist introduces new messages directly to the patients subconscious mind in order to reprogram the addictive thought cycle.
Another tactic to naturally combat your desire for tobacco, is to maintain an energetic lifestyle. Remaining active will not only help to reduce your craving for tobacco, it is also beneficial for former smokers who have a tendency to gain additional weight when they give up smoking, as food is often used to take the place of nicotine. It is suggested that you ensure that you are properly hydrated by drinking ample amounts of water, which will also help to rid the body of remaining toxins.
There are also a variety of support groups for smokers, that can help you find the motivation and will power to kick the habit. The encouragement of family and friends, can also be valuable, but if they have never struggled with this dependency, they may not be able to relate to what you are going through.
Individuals addicted to cigarettes, will find breaking this cycle to be quite a challenge, and this is especially true if this is a habit that they have had for many years. Although individuals who have been addicted to tobacco, will always be susceptible to cigarette cravings, these natural techniques will allow the smoker to stand up to their cravings, and live the rest of their lives smoke free.
