Quit smoking Question

I’ve been smoking since I was 12 now I’m a lot older than 12 actually closer to 40 yrs old.I want to stop way back in my early 20′s I tried the gum but that made me sick. Has anyone here stopped smoking and how did you do it? I smoke mainly when its late at night like now and during the day when I’m stressed but I want to quit, just not sure how to do it. How do the patches work? If anyone’s had any luck, please tell me the brand and symptoms from them like were you tired, jittery, sick? I know I can’t just put them down. I’ve thought about quitting but now its time and I’m tired of smoking, but addicted.

This site is in the format of a ‘weblog’ so that each time I post new information, it will come to the top of the front page. This means that you can check back here frequently to see new updates to the information found here.

You can navigate through the site by using the menus on the sides of the page. Also don’t hesitate to follow the links you see in bold throughout each post to learn more about the topics or products being spoken about.

Further, this website is dedicated to my brother in law, Ken Donovan, who passed away in September 2007 from smoking related health issues. It is my hope that revenues from this site will help to continue his crusade in helping the people in his hometown of Tampa, Florida to fight area crime and locate missing children

Ken always believed in the power of one. Ken was an exceptional person who lived his life to the full, enriching the lives of all those who knew him. In just one of the many footnotes of his life in April 1996 he was recognized by Peter Jennings on the ABC evening news as Person Of The Week for his crime fighting efforts I’ve included a section on this site, Who was Ken Donovan?, so that people may share things they knew about this wonderful person, a person that smoking took away from all of us much too soon.

If you would like to help Ken’s crusade continue, please consider advertising directly with the Crusader newspaper or purchasing your quit smoking products through our store. Also, don’t be shy about sending our website link to others who need information and help to quit smoking.
